Collistar Carisma the polishes overview

Here's a quick recap of Collistar's polishes for this fall/winter. Green lam''e and blue lamé have a matte finish. In the group picture blue lamé is au naturel and in the bottom picture i added topcoat for a supershiny and shimmery finish.

Pupa Folk Wave swatches

These are my picks from the fabulous Folk waves collection by Pupa. The standout shades of this collection are purple, teal and orange and together they create a bold ans mystique look. I picked some of the safe shades but I think I might ad some of the bold ones. But I am actually a very neutral girl when it comes to make up, so the orange lipstick was quite a big step for me :) I love the full texture of the satin eyeshadow and the sparkles in the pearl one (great as a highlighter beneath the eyebrow and in the corner of the eye). Hier mijn favorieten uit de Folk waves collectie van Pupa, deze collectie is vooral gebaseerd op paars, teal en oranje, dus mijn keuzes zijn wellicht wat veilig, maar ik moet je toegeven dat ik qua make up niet heel erg veel durf, vaak wel gekleurde mascara en felle nagels maar qua oogschaduw hou ik het vaak erg neutraal. Je kan je dus wel voorstellen dat de oranje lipstick al een hele stap is :) Ik ben echt verliefd op de volle textuur van de satin oogschaduw die ook voelt als satijn en de shimmers in de pearl oogschaduw. De rose beige is een perfecte kleur voor onder de wenkbrauw en in de binnenste ooghoek. Ik ben momenteel aan het proberen om wat looks te fotograferen, maar dat valt niet mee....Dus ik blijf oefenen en hoop snel een paar mooie looks online te zetten want het is erg leuk om te spelen met de kleurtjes van Pupa, ik overweeg toch om ook de tealkleurige en koperkleurige oogschaduw aan te schaffen, niet te lang wachten want deze collectie is een limited edition. check pupa op http://www.pupa.nl/ voor Nederland en http://www.neolabo.be/ voor Belgische Pupafans. Pupa heeft ook een facebook pagina en op de italiaanse website staan ook tutorials en filmpjes (zie filmpje onderaan dit bericht) echt de moeite waard om even te bekijken. Fijne zondag!

and never used the purple set, I am really happy about that
because it is a perfect match with this collection. Diva's lashes
mascara is one of the best volume mascara's out there, seriously.

Essie Brand new bag case study & lady like swatches

Two more Essie's from the 2011 fall collection, Lady like and Case study. Both formula's are excellent and these shades suprised me, as I mentioned earlier, this collection of neutral shades might look a little boring, but I like the classy and elegant look. These are total Blair Waldorf shades (Yes I admit, I love gossip girl... ;)

Nog twee Essie's uit de herfstcollectie, Lady like en Case study. Beide hebben een uitstekende samenstelling en deze kleuren waren een verassing, want zoals ik al eerder zei, deze collectie met neutrale tinten lijkt misschien saai op het eerste gezicht maar ik ben helemaal fan van deze elegante tinten. Dit zijn kleurtjes die Blair Waldorf zou dragen (ja ik geef toe ik ben gek op Gossip girl...:)

Collistar Carisma fall 2011 polishes part I Graphite & Green Lamé

Okay I already showed you graphite in a previous post with opi's Mad as a hatter (click here for that post) but here it is solo with one of the other shades from the Carisma collection, Green lamé, a gorgeous green "suede" mat shimmer. Both polishes have an excellent formula, even green lamé which dries matte is not in a rush to dry (the thing with most mattes is that you really have to hurry because they dry so fast) it dries fast but you have enough time to apply it. I also did pics of green lamé with shiny topcoat. For availability check www.collistar.com they also have a facebook page to get connected with the brand.

Ik heb je graphite al in een eerder bericht laten zien met opi's mad as a hatter, mocht je het gemist hebben, klik dan hier .Hier zie je graphite nog even solo en tevens een van de andere kleuren uit de Carisma collectie, green lamé, een hele mooie groene "suede" matte shimmer. Beide lakken zijn van uitmuntende kwaliteit, zelfs green lamé is heel fijn, de meeste matte lakken drogen zo snel dat je echt moet opschieten wat nog wel eens frustrerend kan zijn maar deze lakt super. Ik heb er ook 2 foto's bijgezet van green lamé met een laagje glanzende topcoat. Deze kleuren zijn nu al verkrijgbaar bij diverse Da drogisterijen en binnenkort ook bij de luxe parfumerie. Essie Fall 2011 Carry on swatches & bottle comparisons

Carry on is a rich vampy raisin creme which shows off her warm side in direct sunlight but shows her dark side where there is less light. the formula is awesome I did 2 coats. I made pictures in different strengths of light so you can see all aspects of this delicious polish. I also did a bottle comparison so hope that helps. (I don't own many dark vampy shades so this was the best I can do) I got the mini's but I am pretty sure I am going to treat myself with the fullsize of this shade. Have a great (lazy) sunday!

Carry on is een rijke duistere rozijnkleurige cremelak die haar warme kant in de zon laat zien en haar donkere kanten op plaatsen waar minder licht is. De lak werkt heerlijk, dit zijn 2 laagjes. Ik heb foto's in verschillende lichtsterktes gemaakt zodat je alle kanten van deze magnifieke kleur kan zien. Ik heb ook een paar andere donkere tinten naast Carry on gezet zodat je een beetje vergelijk hebt. (Ik heb niet heel veel donkere kleuren zoals je kan zien dus hopelijk kan je hiermee vooruit :)  Ik heb de mini's aangeschaft maar denk dat ik mezelf toch ook maar op de fullsize ga trakteren. Fijne (luie?) zondag ;)

Hier zijn alvast de skittle swatches van Essie's herfstcollectie voor 2011 de Brand new bag collectie, complete swatches volgen snel! Dit zijn allemaal cremes en 2 laagjes van elke kleur alhoewel sommigen aan 1 laag genoeg hadden.

Opi Touring America: Uh-oh roll down the window swatches

I guess my coffee just kicked in because I think I finally got what the name of this polish means....and now I also get why this is a green shade lol :) Uh-oh roll down the window is an army green creme and has the nice opi formula I love. This polish is opaque in 2 coats, it's not a gooey and thick creme so after one coat you might think it will never be opaque in 2 but the second coat evens it out :) This shade had to grow on me, but outside it feels like fall already and I have a lot of army green in my closet so I am sure I will wear this shade a lot this fall :) this collection will be available in the Netherlands from September 1st(too bay my b-day is august 31st). Ik denk dat de caffeïne zojuist begon te werken want ik snap nu eindelijk wat ze bedoelen met de naam van deze lak en waarom het dan ook een groene is lol :) Uh-oh roll down the window is een legergroene creme met fijne opi formule en is dekkend in 2 laagjes. Het is geen stroperige cremelak, dus bij laag nummer een kan je denken 'dit gaat m niet worden' maar met laagje nummer 2 krijg je toch een mooi egaal resultaat. Ik moest even wennen aan deze kleur, maar gezien het herfstige weer kan het al best, bovendien draag ik stiekem heel veel legergroen dus genoeg om deze lak mee te combineren :) De gehele collectie zal verkrijgbaar zijn vanaf 1 september, (hmmm ben 31 augustus jarig....) check http://www.opi.nl/ voor een verkooppunt bij jou in de buurt. Orly birds of a feather collection & Dior summer polishes & Dior Nirvana swatches

Hmmmm this is going to be a messy post, but I have a lot to share today so here it goes :) Australian Blogger Carina had some great news on her blog (check out her blog at http://www.gildednails.co ). It's the press release of an upcoming Orly collection, and it looks sweet! Beige, green and coral what more could I ask for :)

Hmmm dit wordt een rommelig bericht maar ik heb nogal wat te vertellen, dus ik begin maar gewoon :) De Australische blogger Carina had al een persbericht van de komende Orly collectie op haar blog (check http://www.gildednails.co/ ) en ik wordt er blij van, beige, groen en koraal, helemaal goed!

When I was in the Bijenkorf Amsterdam there was a display of the Dior summer look (forgot to take a pic because I was running late for my appointment at the Salon) and I did quick swatches of the 2 new Dior polishes, but between you and me, I was not impressed. The pink dried matte and the orange had a vivid shiny finish, but for real addicts the colors are not mindblowing. A Dior I did like was Nirvana, a light greenish teal somewhere between A bouquet for Ava and Ski Teal we drop, with great application in 2 coats. I tried this at my local perfume store, so there are some bumps and scratches but it's about the color right ;) And ps it has a subtle hidden shimmer :)

Ik had een afspraak bij de kapper in de Bijenkorf, dus dan ren ik altijd even de cosmetica afdeling over en spotte de nieuwe Dior look (beetje jammer dat ik er niet ff snel een foto van heb genomen....zucht) en deed 2 snelle swatches van de nieuwe lakken, maar eerlijk is eerlijk, ik was niet onder de indruk. Paradise Pink was een neon met matte finish, en aloha heeft ook wel ergens dupes, dus ik sla deze ronde over. Een Dior die ik wel heel erg mooi vind is Nirvana, een naar de groene kant neigende teal die qua kleur tussen A bouquet for Ava en Ski teal we drop zit, ik had deze swatches ff snel in de parfumerie gemaakt, dus ze zijn niet vlekkeloos, maar je krijgt een goed beeld van de kleur. Deze Dior bracht netjes aan in 2 laagjes en verassing, er zit ook een pietsie shimmer in.

Opi Fall 2011 collection: Touring America

Hopefully we can enjoy a lovely spring and a good sunny summer before fall 2011 kicks in but at least there is one good thing soming up this fall and it's Opi's fall 2011 touring America collection, the news was on Opi's Facebook page (if you are not yet a member become one now, it's really great!) It will take a while before this collection is available, but it never hurts to know what is coming our way ;) I am deeply in love with I Eat Mainly Lobster & My Address is Hollywood, what do you think of this collection???
