| OPI Belgium's nail art challenge |
Goed, confession time! Ik ben niet zo into the nail art, reden, ik kom op veel nagelblogs en zie de prachtigste creaties voorbij komen, sommige zijn gewoonweg intimiderend mooi. Ik laat het dan ook liever over aan de echte pro's, maar OPI Belgium heeft nu wel een hele leuke winactie op Facebook met als onderdeel het inzenden van een nail art. Tja de hoofdprijs is de complete Euro Centrale collectie, dus laat ik mijn principes even voor wat ze zijn en ga ook aan de slag met nail art, voor deze keer dan ;)
Confession time! I am not a nail art type of girl, I read a lot of nailblogs and I am always blown away by the stunning creations I see. I prefer leaving the whole nail art thing to the nail art pro's instead of making a fool of myself, but when OPI arranges a competition with the entire Euro Centrale as main prize I changed my mind about this and started painting....just for once to be clear about that ;)
Op de OPI Belgium Facebook pagina staan 3 inspiratie foto's die je mag gebruiken als basis voor je nail art. Nu trok nummer 2 mij meteen want het eerste waar ik aan dacht toen ik die foto zag was hee Gone Gonzo en The One that got away, dus dat begon goed. Ik heb nog wat kleurtjes uit mijn OPI stash gehaald en ben als een heuse moderne kunstenares an het werk gegaan. Kloddertje hier kloddertje daar....dat alles over een mooie donkere basis (Lincoln Park after dark). Fijn aan OPI lakken is dat ze zichzelf zo mooi over het nageloppervlak verdelen en egaliseren, de kleuren lopen als vanzelf in elkaar over. Ik hoop dat je kan zien dat mijn inspiratie van de tweede foto komt. Na de tweede laag die bestond uit een aantal verschillende kleurtjes heb ik het geheel voorzien van een subtiele hint glitters uit de Muppet collectie. Dit was serieus mijn eerste poging en ik ben best tevreden, ik ga bewust niet verder prutsen want dat loopt vast uit op niets.

I liked photo number two, it instantly reminded me of Gone Gonzo and The one that got away, so I digged some other shades out of my stash and started painting. Great thing about OPI polishes is that they level themselves so the blending went quite naturally. I used Lincoln park after dark as the base colour. This was my very first nail art attempt ever and I quite like it, I won't create another one because I don't think I can top this mani (more luck than experience oh well).
