Zoya Fire and Ice Gloria and Tiffany

It's weekend and the sun is coming out YAY! I needed that soooo bad....Well I got 3 out of the Fire and Ice collection (I still have to take pics of Crystal, I know it's my name but I am not head over heels with the color...yet..) So let's have a look at Tiffany and Gloria.

Tiffany is a perfect peachy golden shade, I usually avoid this type of shades (loooove yee-haw in the bottle but on my nails it looks like a nude) but this one is so sparkly it is mesmerizing. Pictures are taken indoors in different lights (some in direct sunlight others in shade) so you can get a good idea of the color (same thing for Gloria I just walk around the house taking pics haha;)

Gloria is a stunning  warm pink sparkle polish with lots of golden shimmer very flattering on warmer skin tones, this is 2 coats. Did you get some of the Fire and Ice collection? I can't wait for the intimate collection, I am sooooo ready for spring :) Have a lovely weekend!

Dior Gris winter trio boutique exclusive

Dior also discovered the power of limited edition nailpolish exclusive to the boutiques. Dior will launch 3 new grey shades that will be sold in the boutiques only. The colors are inspired by the leading fashion cities of the world, London, Paris and New York. To be honest, de colors don't wow me...I was planning a citytrip for the honeymoon, now I only have to pick a city....tough one....Enjoy!

Dior heeft de limited edition hype goed van chanel afgekeken (beter goed gejat dan slecht verzonnen ;) en lanceert nu ook 3 nieuwe grijze limited edition lakken die enkel in de Dior boutiques verkrijgbaar zijn. De kleuren zijn geïnspireerd op dé grote modesteden Londen, Parijs en New York. Eerlijk is eerlijk ik sla niet steil achterover van deze kleuren, maar misschien moet je ze in het echt zien....Voor de honeymoon had ik al een stedentrip in gedachten, welke stad zal het worden???? Essie winter 2010 Hot coco & collection recap

There are some really interesting shades in Essie's winter collection, i got 4 out of 6 but i am still thinking of purchasing the two other shades, masquerade belle and silken cord (sometimes you have to make a choice..)
The application was smooth,even the dark vampy luxedo was okay, sometimes those vampy shades are stickey and gooey but this was good. All are two coaters. Enjoy!

Er zitten een paar zeer interessante tinten in Essie's wintercollectie. Ik heb 4 van de 6 kleuren aangeschaft maar twijfel nu toch over de andere 2, masquerade belle en silken cord (soms moet je keuzes maken..)
Het lakken ging moeiteloos, zelfs de donkere luxedo was gehoorzaam terwijl dit soort vampy kleuren vaak kleverig en stroperig kunnen zijn. Allemaal zijn ze dekkend in 2 laagjes. Enjoy!

A Swiss Burlesque mani

Today a dazzling combination of two gorgeous opi polishes, this is 2 coats of glitzerland topped wih 3 coats of bring on the bling, seriously can it get more sparkly? It felt like i dipped my nails in a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow this has new years eve written all over it...This manicure is not recomended when you have to operate heavy machinery, you might be distracted by these fabulous colours ;) Enjoy!

Vandaag een duizelingwekkende combinatie van 2 prachtige opi lakken, dit zijn 2 laagjes glitzerland en als topping 2 laagjes bring on the bling, even serieus, het kan bijna niet schitterender (hmmm is dat correcte spelling????) Het leek wel alsof ik mijn nagels in de pot met goud heb gedoopt die volgens legende onderaan de regenboog staat, dit is echt een mooie voor oud en nieuw. Deze manicure is niet aan te raden als je met zware machines werkt, het kan zomaar gebeuren dat je afgeleid wordt door al het glittergeweld ;) Enjoy!

Opi Burlesque Rising Star & Nubar caramello

Rising star is a warm glowing golden polish with great formula. Totally different type of gold than Glitzerland for example, more warm and cozy.(The type of fireplace and hot coco cozy, I am babbling again, little nervous because I will be fitting dresses again today....) This is a true eyecatcher and not modest at all, attention guaranteed ;) This is 2 coats. Rising star is een warme gouden lak die licht lijkt te geven, een heel ander type goud dan het koele glitzerland uit de swiss collectie, deze kleur straalt warmte en gezelligheid uit (het type warmte van voor de open haard met warme chocomel, ik ben weer aan het bazelen....ga straks jurken passen...slik...) Met deze kleur trek je zeker de aandacht ;) De formule is uitstekend en dit zijn 2 laagjes. This is Nubar Caramello on ring and index and Rising star on pinkie and middle, as you can see Caramello is more an antique vintage gold and rising star is a more fresh and vibrant gold, I like them both a lot.

Essie Winter 2010 Going incognito swatches & comparison

OPI Burlesque gradient, A sparkle-icious Ogre......some funky swatches

The Burlesque glitters are quite captivating on their own, but what happens if you mix them with another color? I love to play with colors and effects :) Please e gentle, this is only my 2nd gradient attempt.For this mani I used 2 coats of Ogre the top blue and 2 gradient coats of Sparkle-icious.(start polishing from the top of the nail, first coat covers half the nail, 2nd coat only the top) I think Funky dunky will make an excellent base as well. I also did an extremely blinged out gradient with a swiss polish and a Burlesque so stay tuned ;) Enjoy!

Nog even en ze zijn verkrijgbaar, de onweerstaanbare Burlesque lakken van Opi, de swatches komen snel maar ik wou jullie eerst deze combi laten zien. De Burlesque glitters zijn op zichzelf al adembenemend, maar wat gebeurt er als ze worden gecombineerd met andere kleuren? Ik vind het heerlijk om te spelen met kleuren en effecten :) Wees mild, dit is mijn  tweede gradient experiment :) Voor deze manicure heb ik 2 laagjes Ogre the top blue en 2 gradient laagjes sparkle-icious gebruikt (lak vanaf de top van je nagel, lak eerst de helft en met het volgende laagje alleen de top) Funky dunky is volgens mij ook een mooie om deze gradient mee te doen. Ik heb ook een superbling variant gemaakt met een Swiss lak en een Burlesque beauty...wordt vevolgd! Enjoy!

Essie Winter 2010 & Smokin hot swatches

    













The Essie Winter 2010 is an all creme collection and I am really pleased with these colors, saturated serene and vampy. Left to right on top picture: Going incognito, hot coco, luxedo and smokin hot. I really had fun swatching these, today I will show you smokin hot, a deep gorgeous grey with a hint purple and brown. I like earl grey tea, smokey and mysterious and I know this is a weird comparison but the color made me think of the tea haha (but by now you know I am a little weird ;) This was a 2 coats no topcoat, Going incognito (with green comparison) and luxedo (with a china glaze halloween topping) are next so stay tuned :)

De Essie wintercollectie bestaat uit cremelakken en ik ben ontzettend blij mee met deze serene vampy kleuren. Van links naar rechts op bovenste foto: going incognito, hot coco, luxedo en smokin hot. Ik had echt plezier in het swatchen van deze mooie classy en toch aparte kleuren, vanaag beginnen we met smokin hot, een grijs met een hint bruin en paars. Ik ben gek op earl grey tea, en op de een of andere manier doet deze kleur mij daaraan denken (earl grey is een rokerige thee zou dat het zijn, ach je weet ondertussen dat ik een beetje raar ben ;) Dit zijn 2 laagjes zonder topcoat. Binnenkort volgen going incognito (met groene vergelijking) en Luxedo (met wel een hele bijzondere halloween topping van china glaze) dus stay tuned en voor nu Enjoy!

WIC Canada collection: Ottawa

Ottawa is white and crisp, actually it reminds me of waking up in the morning, looking outside and see that there's a big layer of clean and fresh snow covering the world :) This true shimmery winter shade dries a little matte, so depending on what you like better you can wear it solo (i used 2 coats) or with a shiny topcoat. This color is great for a silver gitter gradient, hmmm I don't have one, so I am going to hunt for it ;) Enjoy!

Ottawa is wit en fris, het doet me denken aan een vers pak sneeuw op een heldere winterdag :) Deze winterse shimmer droogt mat op, dus het ligt er een beetje aan hoe je deze kleur wil dragen, solo (2 laagjes) of met een glanzende topcoat. Deze kleur is zeer geschikt voor een gradient look met zilveren glitters, helaas heb ik die niet in mijn bezit maar ga er nu maar snel naar op zoek haha. Enjoy!

My skin and nails always suffer when seasons change and especially when fall sets in. Dry ichy skin, nails that break and unruly hair. Mijn haar en nagels hebben altijd flink te lijden als de seizoenen veranderen, en zeker als de herfst zijn intrede doet. reader request: Koh meditate!

Goodmorning all! I got a request from the lovely Helena from all about my nails to swatch Koh Meditate! I had a little nail breaking accident last week, so I used my right hand to swatch and as the pics will tell, this is not my finest work (somehow I am not able to control the camera with my left hand despite the fact that I write with my left hand....weird....) anyway let's go see the swatches! Meditate is a calming and serene green shade just like the names suggests :). 2 coats are all it takes and the polish dries fast. Better images coming soon ;)

Goedemorgen allemaal! Ik heb een verzoekje gehad van Helena van all about my nails of ik swatches wou plaatsen van Koh meditate! Nu had ik vorige week een klein incidentje en is er een flink stuk van mijn wijsvingernagel afgebroken dus heb ik mijn rechterhand gebruikt en je zal aan de foto's zien dat het niet mijn beste werk is (op de een of andere manier kan ik met links dus geen goede foto's nemen, terwijl ik linkshandig ben...vreemd.....) Anyway, genoeg gekletst en door naar de swatches, Koh meditate! is een serene groene cremelak (zoals de naam al deed vermoeden :) , 2 laagjes zijn voldoende en de lak droogt snel. Betere foto's komen binnenkort ;)

I know it looks blue here but that is due to the light, I wanted to show you this one because it really shows how pretty the shimmer parts are :)

Ik weet het, hier neigt de kleur een beetje naar blauw maar dat komt door de lichtval, ik wou je deze laten zien omdat deze de shimmer zo mooi laat zien :)
