Ik ben een echte boekenwurm, maar ik verslind niet alleen literatuur en tijdschriften, ook boeken over mode, kookboeken en interieurboeken vind ik erg fijn. Maar toen mijn boekenkast serieus begon uit te puilen moest er iets gebeuren. Ik ben toen lid geworden van de bibliotheek en bijna wekelijks haal ik een verse lading boeken. Nu zijn er van die exemplaren die ik zo mooi vind dat ik ze naderhand alsnog aanschaf. The survival of the fittest in mijn boekenkast, het moet niet gekker worden. Anyway, dit zijn mijn 3 favoriete boeken over mode en stijl.
I am a total bookwurm I love to read magazines and literature but I also love books about fashion, food and interior design. But after a while my bookshelves were truly complaining, so I became a member of the local library and I go there at least twice a month for a fresh pile of books. When I really like a book I buy it, it's like survival of the fittest in my personal library I guess. These are my favorite fashion reads.

Amazing Astrid is het boek van TV Personality Astrid Bryan die van model naar LA housewife en entrepeneur evolueerde. In het boek praat ze niet alleen over mode maar ook over haar persoonlijke groei. Astrid heeft een heerlijk gevoel voor mode en is ondanks haar hysterische postcode eigenlijk heel down to earth, volgens mij veel meer dan Astrid in Wonderland doet vermoeden. Ik vind haar op zijn Vlaams gezegd een keitoffe madam en haar boek is een aanrader, vooral haar tips voor het inpakken van je koffer zijn met de naderende vakanties heel fijn. Daarnaast geeft ze je een blik in haar Glam LA lifestyle en deelt ze haar favoriete adresjes met je.
Amazing Astrid is the book from the Flemmish TV personality Astrid Bryan, who evolved from model to LA Housewife and entrepeneur. In her book she does not only talk fashion but also shares some personal memories. Astrid has a delicious style and is actually quite down to earth despite of her hysterical zip code. I think she is truly amazing! I totally love this book, her tips for packing your suitcase are not to be missed and she also shares her favorite LA hotspots with you.

Victoria Beckham's stijlgids voor vrouwen met lef is niet alleen heerlijk plaatjes kijken, maar ik persoonlijk ben ook groot fan van de humor van Posh. Ze geeft zelf toe dat haar hakken van 11 centimeter niet echt praktisch zijn maar dat ze er toch graag op rondhuppelt.
Victoria Bekham's styleguide is not only perfect for watching all those glammed up pictures but I am also quite fond of Mrs Beckham's sense of humous, she gets that her 11 cm heels are not the most convenient and practical shoes on earth but loves to run around on them.
Hooggehakt en kortgerokt is actually a stylish history book which shows fashion in The Netherlands for over a century. From Belle Époque and Dior's New Look to Doc Martens and the hysteric aerobic looks from the eighties. It's all in this inspiring and interesting book with lots of pictures.
