4 Oktober Werelddierendag. Wist je dat werelddierendag sinds 1930 bestaat? Dierendag is de dag waarop we speciaal aan de dieren denken, uiteraard zou het elke dag dierendag moeten zijn, maar het is goed om af en toe even stil te staan bij onze rol in de wereld als beschermers van de dieren die ons respect verdienen.

Mijn teckels worden elke dag al enorm verwend, dus ik denk vandaag ook aan de proefdieren en slachtvee. Zo is dierendag (net als de meeste dagen) voor mij een "ik eet geen dierendag". Doe je ook mee? 4 October World animal day. Did you know that world animal day exists since 1930? Animal day is the day on which we especially think of animals. Of course, we should think about them every day, but every now and then some extra focus can be good. We must be reminded of our role in this world, a protecting and respecting role towards animals. 

My Dachshunds are spoiled rotten on a daily base, so they don't need the extra attention, but how about lab animals and the ones that end on a plate? So today animal day is (like most days for me) "I don't eat animal day". Will you join me?
