Ik heb onlangs Absolutely shore gekocht (deze kwam uit de zomercollectie van vorig jaar en ik heb geen idee waarom deze kleur mij nu pas opviel) en toen ik mijn nagels had gelakt was ik heel erg blij met de kleur maar er miste gewoon op dat moment iets...Ik had behoefte aan een beetje sparkle! Dus een beetje spark de triomphe op de toppen van mijn nagels maakte het plaatje compleet.

I recently purchased Absolutely shore (from last year's summer collection, I really don't know why I did not notice it before) and when I applied it to my nails I looooved the colour but there was something missing... I just needed a little sparkle! So here it is with Opi spark the Triomphe on the tips.

Ik heb een tic met handcremes, ze slingeren overal door het huis en ik probeer en experimenteer graag en zo nu en dan kom je een handcreme tegen die echt de moeite waard is. De Babor Daily hand cream heeft een frisse citrusgeur vermengd met rozen en thee. Verzorgende ingrdiënten waaronder abrikozenpitolie, amandelmelk, meloen- en perzikextract zorgen voor hydratatie en verzorging en extracten uit de Nori Alg zorgen voor een natuurlijke UVA bescherming. Voor een tube van 100 ml ben je € 11,50 kwijt wat heel redelijk is (in vergelijking tot andere luxe handcremes is dit een koopje). Deze handcreme heeft een hele frisse textuur maar laat wel een fijn niet plakkerig of vettig laagje achter op de handen, alsof je beschermende handschoentjes aan hebt. Ook de zachte geur is een groot pluspunt. Babor is verkrijgbaar bij de schoonheidsspecialiste of online via www.babor.com Zo en nu weer even snel de handen insmeren ;)

I have a thing with handcreames, they are all over the place here and I love to buy and try them. Sometimes I find one that really lives up to my high expectations. The Babor Daily hand cream has a fresh citrus scent blended with roses and tea. Nourishing ingredients like almond milk, apricot oil, melon and peach extracts hydrate and soothe the skin while extracts from Nori algue protect against UVA rays. A 100 ml tube has a € 11,50 pricetag which is very reasonable for the size and quality of this product (compare it to high end hand cream prices and this is actually a bargain). This hand cream has a very fresh and soft texture which leaves a thin layer (non sticky or gooey) of protection on your hands, it's almost like wearing invisible gloves. The scent is also a big plus. Ik dacht doe eens gek en sla eens lekker veel nieuwe kleurtjes in...ben al druk begonnen met swatchesn, de Essie skittles heb je al voorbij kunnen zien komen en ik heb nu Essie watermelon op. Ben wel benieuwd welke kleurtjes zou jij het eerst zou willen zien, maar nu ga ik eerst even lekker van het zonnetje genieten. Fijne dag allemaal!

The Body shop is een van de eerste winkels waar ik als jong meisje mijn beautyproducten kocht. De winkels waren uitnodigend en het personeel altijd vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik werd ouder en de liefde verwaterde een beetje, ik kocht er nog regelmatig fijne producten maar de verliefdheid die was overgegaan in onvermijdelijke sleur. Afgelopen dinsdag was ik bij het Beauty with heart event van The Body shop voor de lancering van de nieuwe campagne, Look good, feel good, do good. Ik kan je vertellen dat de vlinders terug zijn en hoe! Heerlijk om even te worden ondergedompeld in de kernwaarden van dit waanzinnige merk. Naast heerlijke producten vond ik er ook een stukje inspiratie om ook op mijn blog meer aandacht te besteden aan producten en merken die meer doen dan alleen je toilettafel opleuken. The Body shop was one of the first stores where I did my beautyshopping as a young girl. The stores looked inviting and the staff was always friendly and helpfull. I got older and the love faded away. I still regularly purchased Body shop products, but our relation got in a rut. This week I was invited to a Body shop Beauty with heart event to celebrate their new Look good, feel good, do good campain. And I got some news to share...the butterflies are back and I am completely in love again with the Body shop! So wonderfull to be emerged by the values and products of this amazing brand that does so much more than look cute in your bathroom. Madonna't Truth or Dare is een misschien niet meteen wat je ervan had verwacht. Toen ik de geur voor het eerst rook was ik aangenaam verrast. Het is niet de zoveelste 13 in een dozijn geur, maar een redelijk aanwezige zwoele bloemengeur. Waarschijnlijk was Madonna (net als ik) een aantal jaren geleden fan van de Versace Blonde geur die helaas niet meer verkrijgbaar is. Truth or Dare heeft veel weg van die geur. Truth or Dare heeft topnoten van Gardenia, Tuberoos en Oranjebloesem. Het hart bevat jasmijn en witte lelie en de basis is een melange van Vanille, Muskus en gecaramelliseerd Amber. Het enige wat mij tegenhoud om deze geur aan te schaffen is de vreselijke flacon....Ik ben gewoon geen fan van een niet doorzichtige flacon, als deze meer vierkant was geweest en een frosted transparante look had dan had ik de flacon prachtig gevonden maar nu...mweh. Toch is de geur echt zalig en zeker het besnuffelen waard. Heb jij deze geur al geroken? De Eau de parfum is verkrijgbaar vanaf € 29,50 en voor 200 ml showergel of bodylotion betaal je € 19,50. Exclusief verkrijgbaar bij Ici Paris XL.

Madonna's Truth or dare might not be what you expected it to be. When I tried this for the first time I was surprised, this is not one of those commercial looks like another fragrance scents, but a warm floral perfume. I think Madonna was a huge fan of Versace's Blonde (I loved that so much but it got discontinued boohoo). Truth or dare has top notes from Tuberose, Gardenia and Neroli. The heart is a bouquet of Jasmine and White Lilly and the sweet base is a blend of Caramellised Amber, Musk and Vanilla. There is only one disturbing thing about this...the bottle...It is just not my taste. First of all I like my fragrance bottles to be sheer so I can see the content an the shape is just not right. This should have been more square and frosted glass, but you know that is the only thing I can complain about and the fragrance itself is just brilliant. Have you tried it yet?

Australian Gold heeft naast de succesvolle lijn in tanning producten voor onder de zonnebank ook een hele fijne lijn van producten met een SPF. Sinds vorig jaar zomer ben ik groot fan van de Spf 15 met bronzer. Deze sprayflacon is superhandig en het product trekt snel in, is niet plakkerig, geeft een heel fijn shimmertje én ruikt heel erg lekker zoet. Door de zelftanners in het product bouw je niet alleen zelf kleur op maar deze geven je tint nog eens een extra boost waardoor je niet de hele dag hoeft te bakken. Ook is er een handige stick met spf 15, deze zit altijd in mijn tas want je weet nooit wanneer je onverwacht op een zonnig terrasje beland ;)Laat je niet afschrikken door de spf 50 want ook met een hoge bescherming kleur je, alleen wel op een veilige manier. Australian gold does not only have a succesfull range of tanning products for tanning beds, but also for outdoor tanning. Since last summer I am a huge fan of their Spf 15 spray with bronzers. The non sticky formula with subtle shimmer and sweet scent is quickly absorbed and the tanning products will make your tan look deeper and provices a quicker result so you won't have to deepfry yourself in the sun for a tan. I always carry around the spf 50 stick in my purse, you never know when you might end up on a sunny terrace with a cool drink. Don't let the spf 50 scare you off, you will tan with a high spf, but in a safe way. Een van mijn all time favorite geuren is Jil Sander Sun. Zodra ik die geur ruik denk ik aan vakantie en zon. Jil Sander Sun Sorbet is de nieuwste geur in het Sun gamma. Dit nieuwe zusje van de originele Sun is veel speelser, fruitiger en zoeter. Rode bessen, jasmijn en Sandelhout zijn de ingrediënten van deze fijne zomerse geur. Royal effem neemt je deze zomer mee naar de mediterraneé. Ik vind dit een hele toffe collectie, wat alleen jammer is is dat je zulke mooie bestemmingen eigenlijk niet in één collectie kan stoppen. Ze hadden er dus wat mij betreft wel een tijdje mee vooruit kunnen werken, de romantische Provence voor de lente, chic Positiano in de zomer en mooi warm Andalusië voor de herfscollectie. Ach nu hebben we alles in één keer ;) De nagellakjes zijn van super kwaliteit en beide kleuren zijn heel warm en zonnig (wat ik eerlijk gezegd niet meteen van de bruine lak had verwacht) en het resultaat is heel mooi, check de swatches onderaan. De oogschaduw en lipgloss swatches volgen snel. Royal Effem is verkrijgbaar bij de schoonheidsspecialist. Ik twijfel toch nog of ik niet ook voor de andere 2 oogschaduwduo's ga...ik speel graag op safe met taupe, maar die blauwe en lila zijn toch wel errug mooi...Typisch hoe die Italiaanse merken mij toch elke keer weer verleiden...

Royal Effem takes you on a journey trough the mediterranean this summer. I really like this collection but if I would have created it I would have given each destination a collection of its own. Romantic Provence for spring, Chic Positiano for summer and warm Andalucia for fall. Oh well now we have them all at once ;) The nailpolishes have an excellent formula and the shades I got are so warm and sunny (I took a chance on the brown but it really surprised me, the gold shimmers make it very nice for a summer pedi) See swatches below. The blue and lavender eyeshadow are still on my mind, I usually play safe with taupe shades, maybe I have to step out of my comfort zone...typical how those Italian brands seduce me over and over again....

The Tweezerman is one of the beauty tools I can't live without, I have several tweezers and I am always seduced by the new shades and prints. The latest limited edition prints are Harajuku lovers and these tweezers are too cute! Bonus is that you can find them quite easily in a full make up bag due to the standout print.

YSL Spring 2012 Rouge volupté perlé Sparkling fuchsia

YSL heeft altijd al mooie kleuren lipstick in het assortiment, maar
voor de lente van 2012 hebben ze ook echt hun best gedaan. De fuchsia lipstick Rouge Volupté Perlé heeft een prachtige shimmer en een mooie dieproze tint.
Isdit iets te intens? Er zijn ook 2 mooie glossjes, Golden Peach en Golden Violet. Ik overweeg mijn duurdere aankopen altijd heel goed voor ik de daarwerkelijk aanschaf, maar voor de lipproducten van YSL bezwijk ik meestal wel....(Lipstick 30,45 en golden gloss 27,55)

YSL has a stunning permanent range of lipsticks but they also did an excellent job creating the spring look of 2012. The fuchsia Rouge Volupté Perlé has brilliant shimmer and a beautiful deep pink colour. Is this too much for you? There are also 2 pretty lip gloss shades available, Golden Peach and Golden Violet. I never impulse purchase high end cosmetics, I always seriously consider each buy, but most YSL items I like do end up in my cosmetic pouch ;) (Srp NL Lipstick 30,45 and golden gloss 27,55)
