Poor Jessica Rabbit.....a tribute manicure

Gisteren was geen topdag...ik liet alles uit mijn handen vallen..Eerst liet ik Kiss on the Chic vallen tijdens het swatchen (gelukkig kwam i think in pink die dag met de post) en toen ik in een nijdige bui ging stofzuigen stootte ik Jessica Rabbit om....dus Jessica, deze swatch is een eerbetoon aan jouw glitter en glamour: Zoya Astra....trouwens...dit betekend wel dat ik naar Eurodisney MOET om een nieuwe te halen, ik ga haar heus proberen te lijmen maar mijn plastisch chirurgische kunsten zijn niet echt je van het....dus ik vrees dat ze een tweede Heidi Pratt word (arm arm meiske)....Ik heb trouwens zoveel gave dingen die ik je de komende week ga laten zien, de Koh zomerlook en Koh Matte (serieus ik maak nu al mijn manicures mat, ik vond het eerst helemaal niks maar ik ben nu helemaal om) en natuurlijk nog een aantal BB couture swatches. Yesterday was not a good day...i dropped everything that i had in my hands. First i dropped Kiss on the Chic (good thing I think in pink was delivered that afternoon) and when i started vacuumcleaning with a pissed of attitude i knocked Jessica Rabbit of the shelf...So Jessica...this swatch is a tribute to your glitter and glamour: Zoya Astra. Btw this means i HAVE to go to Eurodisney to get a new one, of course i am going to try and fix her but my surgical skills are so bad i guess she will look like Heidi Pratt (poor poor girl) I have so much cool stuff to show you these days, Koh summer look 2010 and Koh Matte (seriously i hated all the matte stuff until i tried it myseld, now i make everything matte) and of course more BB couture swatches. pretty pink BB Couture polishes~~ Love Bug & Pink Champagne~~

Ben ondanks mijn ongelijke nagels toch maar aan de BB lakken begonnen. Voor vandaag staan love bug en pink champagne op het menu. Love Bug is een vrij transparante roze jellylak met gouden en groene glitters en Pink champagne is een van mijn nieuwe favorieten, subtiel maar toch met groots effect, een roze shimmer met groene gloed. Love bug is 4 laagjes en Pink champgne 2. Bb lakken zijn 3 in 1 formules, dus basecoat kleur en topcoat. De lakken waren heel fijn in gebruik en de kleuren.....gewoon geweldig en Overall beauty verzend ook naar Nederland en België. Enjoy!

Despite my uneven nails I started swatching my BB polishes. Today we have Love bug and pink champagne on the menu. Love Bug is a sheer pink jellypolish with golden and green glitters and Pink champagne is one of my new favorites, subtle, but with stunning effect, a pink shimmer with green flash. Love bug is 4 coats and pink champagne 2. BB polishes are 3in1 formula, basecoat, color and topcoat. I got mine from Overall beauty, they also ship to Europe. Enjoy!

Wic by Herôme Spring Lente 2010 Costa Rica swatches

Vandaag de swatches van enkele lakken van de Costa Rica collectie.

Today i have swatches from some of the new Costa Rica collection polishes.

Samara is een mooie babyblauwe lak, dit zijn 2 laagjes en de formule is fantastisch, ik geef toe dit is voor mij geen unieke kleur, maar de formule is dat wel, veel pastellakken zijn kalkachtig en net muurverf, maar dit is een heerlijke textuur met hoogglans. Eerste foto is in de schaduw de tweede in zonlicht. (geldt voor alle 3 de lakken)

Samara is a pretty babyblue polish, this is 2 coats and the formula is fabulous, i admit this is not a new color to me, but the formula is, most pastels are chalky and like wallpaint, but this is a delicious formula with superglossy finish. First pic is in the shade, second in sunlight. (for all 3 polishes)

Monte Verde is een mooie mintgroene tint met dezelfde fijne samenstelling als Samara.

Monte Verde is a pretty mintgreen shade with thesame pleasant formula as Samara.

La Fortuna is een aparte kleur en zoals je weet, ik hou van aparte kleuren, dit is een oranje bronze shimmer met een groene flash (klik op foto's voor vergrote weergave, vooral bij de eerste kan je het goed zien) Erg bijzonder, misschien nog niet geschikt voor mijn huidskleur, maar nog een paar van deze zonnige dagen en dat komt helemaal goed. Dit zijn 3 laagjes.Wat denk je ervan?

La Fortuna is a different color and as you know, i like odd colors, this is an orange bronze shimmer with green flash (click on image for enlarged view to see the flash) Very special color, currently not very good with my skintone, but a few more sunny days and i'm good to go. This is 3 coats. What do you think of these polishes?

BB Couture polishes whoohoo!!!

Eindelijk arriveerde mijn bestelling van http://www.overallbeauty.com/ met de BB couture lakken en ze zijn nog mooier dan ik had verwacht. Ik ga ze zo snel mogelijk swatchen, maar hier alvast wat foto's van de flesjes.
Overall beauty is trouwens een fantastische online shop met heel veel leuke dingen en de verzendkosten naar Nederland zijn ook heel redelijk.

Koh Banana

Een zeer zomers kleurtje is Koh Banana een frosted gele lak waar ik ontzettend vrolijk van wordt (en ik krijg ontzettend zin in een banana split van deze lak hmmm helaas ben op lente dieet...saai.....zucht) dus ik hou het even bij de caloriearme superlak van Koh ;) Ik doe trouwens niks engs hoor, gewoon niet snoepen maar dan kom je er pas achter hoe vaak ik dus wel snoep...Ach fruit en groente kunnen ook de zoetbehoefte stillen en af en toe mag ik heus smokkelen (niet verder vertellen hoor)

A very summery shade is Koh Banana a frosty yellow that makes me very cheerful (and craving a banana split but i am on a strict spring diet...so boring.....sigh....) so let's keep it with the low calorie miraclepolish from Koh for now ;) I am not on a scary crash diet or something, just skipping the candy and now i realise how much candy i used to feast on...Oh well veggies and fruit can make me happy too and an ocassional cheat is allowed (shhhht)

Ok ik geef toe, Miss world moest ik gewoon hebben vanwege de naam..bovendien is het gewoon een geweldige warme roze kleur met hele fijne gouden shimmer (klik op foto voor een vergrote weergave dan zie je de shimmer in het flesje) Dit zijn 3 laagjes.

Sparitual Treasure

Treasure wauw....kijk zelf maar het is gewoon echt een hele gave kleur die ergens tussen oranje en geel zit met een geweldige shimmer. In het flesje leek het niet bijzonder maar ik ga deze lak heel heel vaak dragen.
Hoop dat je een lekker weekend hebt, hier schijnt de zon zo fijn, daar doet treasure mij aan denken, het stralende zonnetje, wat een vrolijk lakje, therapie in een flesje zal ik maar zeggen ;)

Treasure...wow! Look yourself it is an awesome color somewhere between yellow and orange packed with loads of shimmer. In the bottle it did not look so special but on the nail it is i am going to wear this one a lot!
Hope you are having a great weekend! The sun is shining out here it feels so good, that's what treasure reminds me of, sunshine, a happy shimmery color, therapy in a bottle ;)

Na een aantal hele lieve reacties op het vegetarische stukje in het vorige blogje overweeg ik om ook wat stukjes over eten te doen en dan met name mijn beste vegetarische recepten is dat een idee???

ps geniet van de zon maar vergeet niet jezelf te beschermen tegen de huidverouderende UVA en verbrandingsveroorzaker UVB (auwauw) te beschermen er zijn zoveel heerlijke smeerseltjes met shimmers (ja daar ben ik weer met mijn shimmers...) en lekkere geurtjes, wees ook niet bang om een lekkere hoge factor te smeren, je kleurtje zal er alleen maar mooier en duurzamer van worden.

ps enjoy the sun but don't forget to protect yourself againts the aging UVA and burning UVB (auch) rays of the sun. there are so many great products out there with pretty shimmers (i know...can't get enough of the shimmers...) and lovely scents don't be afraid to get a high spf it will make your tan look better and last longer.

Shrek and his significant other...and some green thoughts

Shrek heeft zijn wederhelft gevonden, niet in Fiona maar in significant other color van Opi een doorzichtige lak die heel erg geschikt is om vooral groene, blauwe en paarse lakken van een special effect te voorzien. Klik op de afbeeldingen voor meer detail.

Van groene lak schakelen we over naar een ander soort groen, groen denken. Volgende week, 22 april om precies te zijn, is het Earth day een dag die bedoelt is om bewustheid te creeren voor een gezond en duurzaam milieu. Voordat je nu wegklikt en denkt ja doeiiiii lees even verder ik ga je echt niet bekeren hoor beloofd ;) (Ik ben zelf al een aantal jaar pogingen aan het doen om veggie te worden...zonder succes)
Je kan op hele kleine manieren al bijdragen aan een groenere wereld, wist je dat een vegetarier in een Hummer beter is voor het milieu dan een vleeseter in een Hybride? Af en toe een dagje geen vlees kan echt geen kwaad, er zijn zoveel lekkere alternatieven, een lekkere pasta met kaassaus, een salade met avocado parmezaanse kaas en gamba's of lekkere gegrilde groenten met kruiden en olijfolie....Zeker nu het zomerseizoen (en dus bikiniseizoen ohoh) eraan komt een goed voornemen! From green polish to a green earth. Next week, 22nd of april to be exact, it is world Earth day, a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment, and before you click away and think duuuuuh just read this out i will not convert you promise ;) (i am trying to go veggie for years but it is sooo hard sometimes) You can contribute to a greener planet in small effort, did you know that a vegetarian in a Hummer is better for the environment than a person who eats meat in a hybrid car? A few days a week without meat can really make a big difference and there are sooo many good alternatives! How about a delicious pasta with cheese or a salad with avocado, parmezan cheese and gamba's or just some mouthwatering grilled vegetables with herbs and oliveoil...mmmmm And a lot of green food is also a good idea considering the fact that bikini season is coming closer (uhoh...) Enjoy!

I will show you 2 colors from the Believe spring collection, Hope Springs eternal a hot pink frost and I am the light which i cannot describe other than a warm lilac with a hint of pink, this one looks like it glows, extremely gorgeous. Opi shrek collection: Ogre the top blue and princess mani

Opi Ogre the top blue is lichter dan ik verwacht had (ik dacht meer essie mesmerize en opi dating a royal zal deze week wel een vergelijking doen met mesmerize en een lichtere blauw) maar hij dekt super (2 laagjes) en het is toch weer net anders blauw dan de andere blauwe kleuren uit mijn collectie. De eerste foto is in zonlicht, de tweede in de schaduw en de derde is met een laagje Opi Princesses rule! (die kleur is zooo veelzijdig ren naar je Opi winkel/salon en haal hem zo snel als je kan)
Nu ben ik weel heel benieuw naar de andere Shrek kleuren.... Ik ben zo blij met deze collectie tot nu toe en deze zomer komt Opi in Nederland met een limited edition minisetje van de Summer flutter collectie dat zijn ook echt mijn kleurtjes. Lekker fris en zomers, kan niet wachten! Nagellak is een manier om jezelf uit te drukken in kleur, hoe gek of apart dat kleurtje show die nagels!

Opi Ogre the top blue is a lighter shade than i expected (i was thinking Essie mesmerize and opi dating a royal i will make a comparision this week) but it has great coverage (2 coats) and it is another blue than the ones in my stash. The first pic is in the sunlight, the 2nd in the shade and the 3rd is with a coat of Opi princesses rule! (that color is such a multitasker run to your Opi store/salon and get it as fast as you can ;)
Now i am getting really curious for the other Shrek colors....I am really happy with this collection so far and this summer Opi will bring a limited edition of Summer flutter mini's in the Netherlands, those a really my kind of colors flashy and summer all over it, i can't wait! Nailpolish is all about you and what you like, expressing yourself in color, how stange or odd a color, show off those nails!

Opi Who the Shrek are you?

Ik moet iets bekennen...in het flesje sprak deze lak mij dus absoluut niet aan (ok ik vond m dus gewoon lelijk), maar de ervaring leert dat in het flesje en op de nagel een wereld van verschil kan betekenen, dus hupsakee lakken maar! En eenmaal op de nagel...moet ik toegeven dat ik de kleur wel heel erg gaaf vind, het is een vreemde kleur groen, maar het is wel heel cool, het is echt...tja uhm...Shrek! Dit zijn 3 laagjes in het zonlicht en in de schaduw, sorry voor de "blob" op mijn nagel, maar ik had niet veel tijd (zon was bijna onder) en ik moest een deukje corrigeren want de batterij van mijn camera was natuurlijk weer leeg dus een foto nemen was weer een hele onderneming...zucht (welcome to my world...) Morgen laat ik je Ogre the top blue zien uit de Shrek collectie.

I have a confession to make..in the bottle this color did not appeal to me at all (okay it looked ugly in my opinion there i said it...) but experience has shown that in the bottle and on the nail can be a whole different thing so get on with it and polish it! And once on the nail...i have to admit i really dig the color, it is such a strange color green but kinda cool...it is really uhm, well...Shrek! This is 3 coats in sunlight and shadow, sorry for the blob on my nail, i had to fix a smudge i made because my battery was empty so it was a lot of trouble getting these pictures...sigh...(welcome to my world....doh) Tomorrow i will show you Ogre the top blue from the Shrek collection.
